NEW ALBERTA ELECTRONICS RECYCLING PROGRAM STARTS ON OCTOBER 1, 2004.
The Alberta Government along with Alberta Environment have implemented the long awaited Electronics Recycling Program. The First of it's kind anywhere in North America.
This new Electronics Recycling Program is managed by the Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA). These are the same people that manage the highly successful Tire Recycling Program.
Recycle-Logic Inc. is proud to have been qualified as one of only five Certified Electronics Processors under the new Alberta Program. We are proud to be able to offer our services to Municipalities, School Boards, Corporations, Small and Large Businesses and most importantly the General Public.
To Date, Recycle-Logic Inc has collected and Recycled almost 60% of the total amount of Electronics claimed under the Program!
Within this Electronic Recycling Program there will be a Point of Purchase charge for TV's, Computers, Monitors, and Printers. A portion of these fees will be directed to: the Collection Sites for the End-of-Life Electronics to be Collected, Transportation of these End-of-Life Electronics to Certified Processors, and to the Electronic End-of-Life Processors to properly manage and recycle these Electronics.
The Mandate of the Electronic Recycling Program is to provide reasonable access for all Albertans to easily recycle their End-of-Life Electronics. Now all Albertans can drop off or have picked up (depending on volumes) their End-of-Life Electronics for No Charge. |
